If you’re in the U.S., then you’re probably highly aware that the 4th of July is on its way. I feel like I blinked on last year’s 4th of July, and it’s here again!

Everybody who celebrates the 4th of July knows how it’s done. You’ll need some fireworks, some backyard BBQ, and obviously, some red, white, and blue.

Something that not a lot of people know they need for the 4th of July is some cake. What’s a celebration without cake? Nothing, I tell you. Nothing.

After a little digging, I found the ultimate 4th of July cake. It’s this one by The Icing Artist on YouTube, and I was so impressed by it, I knew I needed to make it myself for the 4th.

To make this, you’ll first need to make some cake, obviously. You’ll need a ring of blue cake for the outside, and some red cake for the rest. The white stripes will be made of buttercream.

As for the outside of the cake, you’ll be doing white and red stripes of buttercream. The top of the cake is decorated with blue buttercream and topped with white candy stars.

If you’re looking for a good recipe to refer to, you can look no further than The Icing Artist’s website by clicking here.
