Do you have some leftover fabric? Don’t we all? I know I have a drawer full of fabric from previous project that I just couldn’t seem to find a use for… until now.
Laura Ann Coia from SewVeryEasy uses her leftover fabric to create an easy and adorable Christmas quilt. I just love how her finished product turned out. It’s just fabulous!
The finished block is pretty big and a great way to use that extra fabric. Want to make it yourself? Here’s how.
You’re gonna start with a 10″ square for the center. The rest of the blocks surrounding the center square are the same size. 4 of them are Chevron, and 4 are a variation of a 4 patch.
You’ll just be stitching up some half square triangles to make the surrounding blocks, so it’s incredibly easy. Then it’s all in the arrangement, and that’s entirely up to you!
As for the fabrics, Laura decided to go with Christmasy fabrics that don’t necessarily match but coordinate: think greens, whites, blacks, and reds. Just like the arrangements, the colors are up to you.
