Floating Squares

Recently, I came across a simple and gorgeous quilt that Jenny Doan from Missouri Star Quilt Company creates in another one of her awesome tutorials.

It’s called the “Floating Squares” quilt and it is so easy to put together. It’s a group of plain squares and a group of easy-to-make blocks, stitched together to make an adorable quilt top.

I think this may be one of the easiest quilts I’ve ever made. In fact, I’m probably going to whip up another one of these babies soon. It’s such a gorgeous project!

Easiest Blocks Ever

To create this simple quilt, all you’re gonna need are some squares and some background fabric. There are two different blocks that create this quilt: a solid block, and a block that looks like a cornerstone.

Since one of the blocks is just a solid block of fabric, it makes assembling this quilt the easiest assembly you may ever do. The block that you’ll actually sew is so easy.

You’ll surround a little colored block with white border. Sewing that up is done in no time and then you can stitch up your quilt.

Watch Jenny sew up this adorable quilt in her video below, then get started on making your own. It’ll be done in no time!
