The Nostalgia Of Pinball

Pinball: a nostalgic arcade game that every kid loved playing with back in the day. Pinball machines aren’t as easy to find as they used to be, but there’s still a way to play with one whenever you want.

Make one!

No, you don’t need to buy a ton of electronic parts, lights, or even a metal ball. Nope, you can make all of this with a ton of stuff you probably already have!

Some of those things include cardboard, rubber bands, and a marble as your pinball. How clever is that?

Making The Machine

Gather these materials:

  • Cardboard
  • Bearing
  • Hair rubber bands
  • Plastic book cover
  • Ice-cream stick
  • BBQ bamboo sticks & Chopsticks
  • Hot glue gun

When it comes to actually building the machine, you have a lot of leeway here to do whatever you’d like. Obviously you can follow the construction that Mini Gear does to a T, or mix it up a bit.

That’s right, create your own pinball path! Create new shapes for the rubber bands, add more or less obstacles… have fun with this!

Have Fun!

Watch Mini Gear’s video below to try making a pinball machine from scratch! It sounds a lot scarier than it actually is, I promise.
