I love to decorate my front door during the holidays, there is nothing that puts your neighbors and guests in the holiday spirit as much as a beautiful door wreath or cute door hanging. I truly believe it makes people happier before they enter your home to be greeted by a gorgeous door decoration. I usually make a new wreath for every holiday, but this holiday season I decided to change it up a bit with this Snowflake Door Hanging I saw on Youtube, it was everything I wanted in a door decoration, sweet, simple, and stunning. The directions were super easy and I couldn’t wait to get started when I saw it! So first I went to Dollar Tree and bought some snowflakes of varying sizes and finishes, and the rest of the materials I already had, like a hot glue gun, glue sticks, floral wire to fasten my snowflakes together, and scissors.
Then I set about laying them out in the pattern I wanted then glued them together with my hot glue gun, then re-enforcing the hot glue gun joins by wiring them together with floral wire. The hot glue is not quite enough, your snowflake needs a little extra support so this step is really important.
Then I took the DIY Snowflake Door Hanging to the next level by sticking some rhinestones to the individual snowflakes. I added a wire hanging hook to the top and hung it on the outside of my front door, but these DIY Snowflake Wall Hangings look equally great indoors as well.
