Crystals are huge right now. I feel like everyone has one, and I see them everywhere. From decor to jewelry and more, this trend seems like it’s here to stay for quite a while.

One of the most popular crystals I see everywhere is amethyst.

Its gorgeous purple hue and stunning sparkle have people all over the world flocking to get one– and now, you can have that beauty on your nails!

YouTuber JauntyJuli posted an easy tutorial on how to achieve some amethyst-inspired marbled nails. They look super difficult, but believe it or not, it’s really simple!

First, start out by painting your nails with a base coat to prevent staining. Then, add one coat of a light purple color. Once that completely dries, you’re ready for the next step.

For this next step, you’ll want to work quickly. Take a slow-drying top coat, and two other shades of purple. Juli uses a deep amethyst color and a deep plum. You’ll also need some plastic wrap.

Paint a thin layer of the top coat, then dot some of the deeper purples in random spots. Place the plastic wrap on top, then pick it up and place it back down a couple of times.

That will result in a marble effect! To make it a little bit more amethyst-looking, take some white nail polish or acrylic paint and dilute it in water, adding it to create a veining sort of look.

Finally, add some gold foil if you’d like that extra pop, then top with another layer of top coat.

That’s it, you’re done!
