I love to hunt and fish and I have all my rods, reels, ammo and camo in a special place in the house where I clean my guns. I also have a craft room where I do a lot of sewing and papercraft, but never have the two been able to meet. When my hunting buddy sent me this DIY Shotgun Shell Christmas Light idea, I knew I had struck gold! I could utilize my DIY nifty craft skills with my practical hunting and survival skills and create something extraordinary that no one was doing, most certainly not in my neighborhood anyway. I first assembled my materials together and got ready to start this fun project. I just needed a string of lights, about twenty (used) shotgun shells, a pair of plyers and a whole lot of patience, lol. Be sure and clean your shells thoroughly and you can polish the metal ends if they are rusty, I like to use the liquid form of Bar Keeps Friend cleaner, it makes metal look gorgeous. So I started my project by laying out my materials in my hunting/ craft room.
