I was asked to bring beverages a spur of the moment Christmas Party for 40 kids at my daughter’s kindergarten and I only had an hour and a half to buy something and make it fun, cute, and Christmassy. I really had no idea what I was going to do and went into panic mode. I started searching Youtube and found this wonderful idea to turn ordinary water bottles into our favorite Christmas character Rudolf The Red-Nosed Reindeer, I knew it was perfect so I headed to the grocery store to get a case of Ozarka Spring Water in small bottles then flew into Michael’s Craft Store, which luckily was across the street to get some googly eyes, a pack of pipe cleaners, and a pack of some small red pom-poms. Then I rushed back home to get this project started. I first unpacked all the water bottles and set a new empty box beside the table for my finished products. I set out all my materials and plugged in my glue gun. I needed one long pipe cleaner and two small 3 inch sections of pipe cleaner, one pair of googly eyes, and of course Rudolf’s famous red nose that I would make out of a pom-pom.
Then I started making the antlers by twisting my 3-inch sections of pipe cleaners around each end of the larger section of pipe cleaners near the end.
Then I wrapped the pipe cleaner antlers around the top of the water bottle and glued on the rest with my hot glue gun.
I got these cute DIY Rudolf Water Bottles to the party on time and the children went crazy, even the teachers loved the DIY idea and praised me to no end! I so enjoyed this project and I highly recommend it.
