It’s fall, everyone… and that means it’s pumpkin spice season. I’ll probably be getting a PSL every morning for the rest of the season, if I’m being honest.
Another thing I’ll be doing is buying and making as many pumpkin spice things as I can. The stuff smells and tastes delicious, so why wouldn’t you?
This pumpkin spice soap is one of my favorites so far. It smells delicious, exfoliates and smooths the skin, and puts you in the mood for fall. That, and it’s really easy to make!
What you’ll need is:
- 2 lbs. of a soap base (they use a shea butter base)
- 2 tbsp. pumpkin pie spice
- 2 tbsp. pumpkin seeds, ground into a powder (you can use more or less if you’d like)
- A few drops pumpkin spice, cinnamon, or another fall essential oil (optional)
- Soap colorant (optional)
- Soap mold
First, grind up your pumpkin seeds into a course powder. This will act as an exfoliant when you use the soap. Then, melt your soap base.
Once your soap base is melted, mix in your pumpkin pie spice, soap colorant, and essential oil. Sprinkle your pumpkin seeds into your soap mold, then pour the soap on top.
Once the soap cools, you can decorate it however you’d like. Then you’re all done!
A really cute twist I added to these soaps was actually putting it in a pumpkin shaped mold. It really added to the season, and it’s too cute!
How will you make this soap your own?
