Everyone owns a pair of jeans. Whether they’re bootcut or slim fit, skinny jeans or baggy, high-waisted or low rise, you definitely have some in your closet.
You probably also have a pair of jeans that you don’t wear anymore. I have a ton of pairs of jeans that I don’t use anymore, so I got to thinking… what should I do with them?
Obviously I could donate them, which is an awesome way to give back. Since I had so many, some definitely went to my local thrift store.
I also could’ve given them away to friends, but I’m super tall, so not a lot of them fit into my size. Since I love sewing so much, I knew I wanted to keep some of them for the fabric.
With a few pairs of old jeans left, I went scouring the internet for ways to use the fabric. Then, I stumbled upon this video tutorial by Nina’s Ideas on YouTube.
She has created 8 different projects in her video below that will allow you to turn those old jeans into something way better than the old jeans you started out with.
From a no-sew denim pencil case to a denimĀ and more, you’ll definitely find a project here for you. There are 8 to choose from, after all.
My personal favorite is the denim pocket organizer, which brings style along with organization to any space. Plus, it’s a really cool way to re-use those denim pockets, too!
Check out the video below for more on how these adorable projects are made. Have fun making them!
