Have you ever heard of making a beautiful painting with a mop? Well, I certainly hadn’t but I saw this beautiful work of art and had to make it! The materials were really basic things I already had in my craft cupboard so I was able to get started right away.
Materials:
- 1 Canvas
- 1 Mop
- Several craft acrylic paints in your choice of colors
- A Lazy Susan turning wheel

To get started I laid my canvas on the ground and put my mop on top of it.
When you have the mop string area fairly saturated with paint, you start to twirl it around.
Then you remove the mop and surround the outside area with different color paint and spin till all the edges are covered.
This is gorgeous when completed and so much fun along the way, there is no need to clean the mess if you line your workspace with paper or plastic. However, the kids and I had an idea to do the painting in the garage with no liner to make a psychedelic abstract paint splatter effect on the floor. We had seen the effects of the paint on the tarp and thought the effect would look super on the floor, and it did!
