But how?

With some garbage disposal refreshers. You already have everything you need to make them in your kitchen, and your nose will thank you once you give them a try.

Here’s what you need for the tabs themselves:

  • 3/4 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1/2 tsp liquid dish soap
  • 1 lemon

First, mix together the baking soda and the salt until there are no lumps. Then you’re going to zest your lemon into the mixture, followed by your dish soap. Mix it all together.

Squeeze the juice of your lemon into the mixture while you stir continuously. Then, it’s ready to pack into the pods.

She uses a melon baller to place the mixture on to a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. To make it a little easier, you can also pack it into an ice cube try.

Leave it to dry overnight and you’re ready to use the pods! Just stick one in your garbage disposal, turn on the water, and run the disposal. No more smell, and clean blades!
