I made a burlap tree skirt the other day and my friends and family we absolutely wild over it so when I found these mini burlap Christmas trees made from Dollar Tree cones on Youtube I knew they would be the perfect accompaniment to my tree skirt. I ran to Dollar Tree as fast as I could to get some cones and other materials to make this project a reality. I started by getting two cones, some beige, and some white craft paint, two Christmas stars for the top of my tree a roll of burlap. I prepped my cones by first removing the reflective tape that was around them and then I did three coats of Apple Barrel craft paint. Then I used a screwdriver and a hammer and poked a pretty good size hole in the top of each one and that is where I will end up placing my star ornament. Then I cut about 50 (5 x 5) squares of burlap and brushed each corner with a little white paint to give my tree a snowy effect.

Then I started folding my squares in quarters with my frosted painted points sticking downward and started gluing around the circumference of the cone, starting from the bottom.

When I reached the top of the cone I then added the beautiful Christmas Star. These DIY Burlap Christmas Trees turned out better than I even imagined they would and they looked amazing on the mantle next to the DIY Burlap Ruffled Chrismas Tree Skirt I made. I highly recommend this project.
