Leprechaun Bark
St. Patrick’s Day is an overlooked holiday. Sure, it’s a day where everyone’s wearing green, and a lot of people go out on the town, but not enough people truly get in the St. Paddy’s spirit.
This year, I decided to get in the spirit, I’d make some leprechaun bark. I found the recipe from Creative Cakes by Sharon, and I’m so glad I did. This stuff is delicious!
Wanna make it yourself? Here’s how.
To make this delicious St. Patrick’s Day candy, here’s what you’ll need:
- white chocolate candy melts
- green food coloring
- gold decorative sugar, or another decorative gold element
- green and white jelly beans
How It’s Done
Start by melting your white chocolate candy melts, either by using the microwave or a double boiler. Once fully melted, you can move on to final assembly.
Pour the melted candy into a lined dish. Add a few drops of green food coloring and swirl it in with a toothpick or skewer. Top with the decorative gold sugar, then drop in your jelly beans.
To make the mixture harden faster, put it in the fridge or freezer. Once it’s completely solid, slice into squares or rectangles with a sharp knife, and you’re ready to serve!
Whether you celebrate St. Paddy’s Day or not, you’re sure to love this leprechaun bark. Switch up the colors, and you can use it for all sorts of things!
