After searching a bit more, I finally found a new pattern. It’s called the “Crown Jewel” quilt, and it’s truly stunning. I could stare at the finished product all day. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to make it!

It comes as no surprise that I found this adorable quilt pattern from Jenny Doan at Missouri Star Quilt Company. She never steers me wrong, and I know you’ll love making this as much as I did.

So, wanna make it yourself? Let’s get started. You will need the following:

How It’s Made

Making this block is surprisingly simple. It’s made up of 16 small squares. It sounds like a lot, but once you find out what each of those squares is made up of, you’ll see just how easy it is.

The center diamond is made up of 4 half square triangles, as are the 4 corners of the finished block. The rest is made up of hourglass blocks. Easy enough, right?

Considering each of the finished blocks is 16″, this takes very little effort to put together. Once you put together all of the blocks, your quilt is almost done.

Once the quilt blocks are stitched together, it’s time to add your border(s), batting, and backing fabric. Along with this, you can add some free motion to go along with the pattern, and you’re done!
