I love Mulled Wine over the holidays, it not only tastes delicious but it makes the house smell amazing. The first time I ever tried it was recently in London, England when I went to an event at the BBC Studios. My English friends snickered to themselves when I said loudly, “What is that smell, it’s Heavenly!” they not only couldn’t believe I didn’t’ immediately recognize the smell of Mulled Wine but I also I didn’t know what Mulled Wine even was! Ha, little did I know what I had been missing out on when I tasted the delicious beverage. When I got back home stateside, I immediately went searching for a good recipe on Youtube I could Make in the crockpot. I finally found this delicious looking recipe that called for Merlot, which I love so I had to try it. So I dragged my crockpot out of hiding and started on this Mulled Wine by first sticking cloves in all my orange slices and placing them at the bottom of the crockpot.

Then I added that magic ingredient up there in the bottom left-hand corner of the photo above, Brandy! Along with a cup of orange juice, then gave it a gentle stir and put the lid on the crockpot and cooked it for several hours. It smelled so amazing, neighbors started turning up at my door, I knew why they were there so I greeted them with a steaming mug of delicious Mulled Wine. Boy were they happy!
