Knitting and crocheting has been one of my favorite hobbies ever since I was a little girl. I learned how to do it when I was 12, and I’ve been making things ever since.
I found my newest project from B. Hooked Crochet & Knitting on YouTube. It’s an adorable little mason jar cozy!
These cute crocheted cozies make a great decor piece for any mason jar in your home. I use my jars to hold candles, and I love how the cozy makes the candle’s light reflect through the holes!
I also love putting these over mason jars with super cold or super hot drinks to protect my hands. These really work wonders for all sorts of things!
No matter what you use this darling mason jar cozy for, you’re going to absolutely love it. Luckily, for an experienced crocheter, it’s super simple to make, too!
Here’s what you’ll need to make this super cute cozy:
- 65 yards yarn of choice, #4 worsted weight
- wide-mouth mason jar
- size 5 mm hook (for rounds 1-15)
- size 4 mm hook (for round 16)
- darning needle
- scissors

Here are the first 3 rounds. Begin by using your 5 mm hook.

Round 2: Chain 3, which counts as double crochets. Make 2 double crochets in every stitch. Join with slip stitch to the 3rd chain, 20 stitches.
Round 3: Chain 3, which counts as double crochets. Double crochet in the first stitch. Do 2 in the next stitch, and 1 in the next. Repeat from around and join with a slip stitch to the 3rd chain, 30 stitches.
