Potatoes gratin, also known as scalloped potatoes, are some of the most iconic potatoes there are. There’s nothing better than creamy, buttery, cheesy potatoes.
Especially when they’re made like this. Laura Vitale from Laura In The Kitchen has an incredible potatoes gratin recipe, and once you try it, no other recipe will do.
Wanna whip some up yourself? Here’s how you do it.
You will need:
- 2 lbs. starchy potatoes, peeled and sliced into 1/8” slices
-
3 tbsp. all purpose flour
-
3 tbsp. unsalted butter
-
1-1/2 cups whole milk
-
1/2 cup heavy cream
To put it all together, there are a few steps you’ll need to do first. First & foremost, make sure your potatoes are peeled Laura uses Yukon golds, so this was a fast step for her.
Once your potatoes are peeled, you can go on to infuse your cream. When it comes to what you’ll need to infuse your cream with, you’ll want to check out Laura’s blog by clicking here.
Once you pour that cream over potatoes like Laura explains in the video below, you’ll bake it according to her instructions, and you will never make them the same way again.
I don’t know about you, but I’ll definitely have this on my table for Christmas this year. What about you?
