I’ve always loved the flavor of Dr. Pepper, so I started looking up ways to cook with it. That’s when I found this recipe for Dr. Pepper jelly.

An english muffin slathered in grape or strawberry jelly is delicious, but imagine one covered in Dr. Pepper flavor. It’s a total game changer. I even used it to make some jam-filled cookies, and it was amazing.

It’s really simple to make, too, using only 3 ingredients and a few minutes of your time.

Here’s what you need:

  • 4 cups of Dr. Pepper soda
  • 1 pouch of liquid pectin (he uses Sure Jell Certo)
  • 4 cups sugar (I know it sounds like a lot, but trust me here)

First, boil your Dr. Pepper in a large pot for 5 minutes. Take it off the heat, then stir in your pectin, followed by your sugar. Wait for it to dissolve, then put it back on the heat and boil it for an additional 2 minutes.

Take some glass jars and their lids separately set them in some very hot water (but not boiling), and keep it warm on the stove until needed.

When you’re ready to jar it, take you hot jars and pour the slightly cooled jelly into the jars, filling to the top line, then wiping the top of the jar off and sealing them.

Bring back your large pot of hot water, slowly lower your jars into the water, bringing it to a boil once again. Take them out, let them cool, then it’s ready to use!

Once you try this, you’re going to wonder how you ever ate anything with strawberry or grape jelly. It’s seriously delicious.
