As a quilter, there’s nothing that gets me quite as excited as a a free pattern.

Maybe it’s the fact that it’s free so it’s more accessible for everyone, or maybe it’s because it makes it super easy to stitch, but it gets me pumped to sew another quilt.

I found this tutorial from Jordan Fabrics on YouTube, and when I found out there was a pattern attached to this tutorial, I knew I had to start working on it.

Donna Jordan from Jordan Fabrics is back with another tutorial, this time with a free pattern: a fat quarter friendly classic star quilt.

Creating this star quilt is pretty self explanatory: you’ll be creating a star-like shape out of fabric. In order to do this, you’ll need a background fabric, and some patterned or solid fabrics for the star itself.

The star is made of a center square, as well as little triangles surrounding it. The triangles are sewn on to background squares, and it’s as easy as that.

To access the physical pattern, check out the Jordan Fabrics website by clicking here.

Give this quilt a try with the fabrics you want to use, and you’ll get just as excited as I was!

Good luck!
