It’s all of the flavor in a conveniently packaged strip. No need to use a knife and fork. Just pick it up, dip it, and take a bite!

For the steak fingers:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • kosher salt, to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 lb cube steak, sliced
  • oil for frying

For the gravy/dipping sauce:

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • cayenne pepper, to taste
  • kosher salt, to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp. freshly chopped chives

Time To Cook ‘Em

For the steak fingers, start by mixing together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, mix together the milk and eggs.

Season the steak with more salt and pepper, then dredge in the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, then the flour mixture again. Fry until the steak fingers are golden brown and the steak is cooked how you like.

While those cool off, make your dipping sauce. Start by melting your butter, then adding the flour. Cook for a couple of minutes, then add your milk and seasonings. Mix until thick, and it’s ready!

These make a great appetizer or even a main course served with some fries, veggies, or mashed potatoes. Regardless, you’re gonna love them.

Enjoy!
