It’s been almost a year since Chick-Fil-A made the heartbreaking decision to remove their chicken salad from their menu. It was a favorite with customers, and a difficult decision on the restaurant’s part.
With the departure of the chicken salad, Chick-Fil-A decided to leave their patrons with the best possible parting gift: the recipe for the cult-favorite.
Though it’s a pretty simple recipe, it’s beyond delicious and will bring your back to when the chicken salad was on the menu. Here’s what you need to make it:
- 4 chicken breasts, cooled and cut into 1″ cubes (they suggest you use Chick-Fil-A chicken for this. Both grilled and original work.)
- 2.5 oz. celery (approximately 1.5 full stalks, washed, trimmed, and cut into 1″ pieces)
- 1/3 cup sweet pickle relish
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 hard-boiled eggs (cooled & peeled)
I like mine with some lettuce on two slices of toasted whole-grain bread. With some crispy french fries or fresh fruit on the side, there’s no way you won’t love it!
