Have you been getting in the Halloween spirit lately? Maybe you don’t necessarily like the spooky stuff, but you still love to celebrate holidays in some sort of way.
If you’re a quilter, then you celebrate by making new quilts. This super cute quilt hits the Halloween nail on the head, without any spooky elements– it looks like little candies!
If you want to stitch up a little candy quilt, there’s an easy way to do it, and Jenny Doan from Missouri Star Quilt Company shows you how.
Here’s what you’re gonna need to make this adorably festive quilt:
Making the block involves a lot of strips and half square triangles. Perhaps the most complicated portion of this block is the center, which just involves sewing on two triangles to a large square.
For the entire quilt top, the candies have a gradient effect that ties the whole thing together. Your borders also get a little creative with fabrics as well in order to mirror the candies.
Do you want to learn specific details on how to put this whole thing together? Jenny Doan can help. Watch Missouri Star Quilt Company‘s video below, then get to stitching one yourself!
