Nobody likes having blackheads. They’re unsightly, annoying, and make your skin feel rough and bumpy. Unless you go to a dermatologist, removing them is a huge pain.

I’ve tried tons of remedies for blackheads, and some work better than others. Two things seem to work the absolute best: peel off masks, and charcoal masks.

So when you combine the two, it’s pure magic.

Here’s what you need to make an awesome charcoal peel off mask that’s oh-so satisfying:

  • A couple of tablespoons of nontoxic white school glue
  • A couple of teaspoons of activated charcoal powder (you can get these in vitamins)
  • Optional essential oil, I used tea tree oil for antibacterial properties, a couple of drops

Mix the two (or three) ingredients together, apply to your face, and wait until completely dry. This should take about half and hour.

Then, starting from the bottom, peel the mask up and off of your face. Don’t be surprised if you see some stuff come up with the mask– that’s what it’s supposed to do. Gross but satisfying.

Give this a try and see what it does for your skin!
