Guinness & Bailey’s = The Best Cupcakes Ever
St. Patrick’s Day is on its way, meaning you’ll probably be celebrating with quite a few beers. If you’d like to add some sugary deliciouness to your celebrations, look no further than these cupcakes.
These chocolatey cupcakes are flavored with Guinness beer, perhaps the most Irish of all drinks, and topped with an Icing made with Bailey’s Irish cream.
Don’t let the booziness of these cupcakes scare you– they may be the most delicious cupcakes I’ve ever had in my life, and the beer and Bailey’s add so much to the classic batter and frosting.
Wanna make these yourself and see what I mean? Here’s what you’ll need to get started.
For the cupcakes:
- Guinness beer
- unsalted butter
- cocoa powder
- all purpose flour
- sugar
- for the rest of the ingredients as well as amounts, watch Cookies Cupcakes and Cardio‘s video below
For the icing:
- icing sugar
- unsalted butter, at room temperature
- Baileys Irish Cream
Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F.
For the cupcakes, you’ll want to begin by mixing together your dry ingredients: the cocoa powder, all purpose flour, and so on.
Now, you’ll want to cream together your wet ingredients, including the butter, sugar, Guinness, and so on. Combine your wet and your dry ingredients to form a cupcake batter.
For more specific instructions on combining the ingredients, watch the video below. Once the batter is made, scoop it into a lined muffin tin. Bake for 20 minutes.
Once cooled, mix together the icing like what’s shown in the video below, let the cupcakes cool, then ice them. For a little St. Paddy’s flair, add some green sprinkles to the icing. Then that’s it, you’re done!
