Easy Yet Eye-Catching
I adore quilting easy patterns with a whole lot of impact. So much so, in fact, that I try to find a new pattern as often as I can that will be all sewn up in a flash.
This pinwheel charm quilt fits the bill, and not only is it fun and easy to make, but it’s simply stunning to look at. You’ll be getting a ton of compliments on this one!
Donna Jordan from Jordan Fabrics walks you through this super simple pattern in one of her video tutorials, and it may be one of the easiest patterns you ever do.
This eye-catching quilt top is made up of only two blocks: a basic pinwheel and a regular four patch. When placed together, it creates a jaw-dropping finished product.
How It’s Done
The pinwheel block is made up of four half square triangles, arranged in such a way that it creates a pinwheel-like look. Once you put them together, it creates an interesting diamond look.
You’ll use an alternating pattern here to create the final product: a four patch, a pinwheel, a four patch, a pinwheel, and so on. You’ll also want to make sure to alternate vertically as well.
Watch Donna stitch this up in the video below, and if you’d like the written pattern as well, you can find it by clicking here.
