Jenny Doan from Missouri Star Quilt Company shows how to build this easy quilt form scratch. Believe it or not, it’s one of the easiest quilt you can make, and it’s all because it starts off with a four patch.

Here’s what you’re gonna need to make it:

From here, you’re going to create a regular four patch block, the only difference being a couple of the squares in the four patch are half square triangles, and there’s a piece of sashing dividing those.

To crate the pinwheels in the center, you’ll want to make sure that one of your half square triangles is completely different colors that the rest of your quilt. The other half square will match the other 2 squares.

Then you’ll add your sashings and arrange these in a way that the sashings form a diamond design. Once you stitch these all together, your quilt top is done!

Add your batting. backing, and borders, and the quilt is done. If you want to learn the ins and outs of building this quilt, check out Jenny’s video below, then start working on it yourself!
