Banana Bread Pudding
I love anything with bananas, and I adore bread pudding. When I heard Paula Deen had combined the two to make a delicious banana bread pudding, I nearly screamed.
Not only is this stuff incredibly delicious, it’s super simple to make too. Wanna do it yourself? First, grab the following ingredients.
Here’s what you’ll need to get started:
- French bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
- large bananas, sliced
- whole milk
- sugar
- unsalted butter, melted
- vanilla extract
- kosher salt
- large eggs
- chopped toasted pecans
- Maple syrup
Making The Bread Pudding
Now, let’s get started. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Grab a baking dish (13″x9″) and grease it with cooking spray. Arrange your bread and bananas in the prepared pan.
Grab a large bowl and whisk together your milk, sugar, melted butter, vanilla, salt, and eggs. Pour this mixture on to your bread and bananas, then refrigerate for at least an hour and a half.
Take your bread pudding out of your fridge and pop it in the oven. Bake, uncovered, for about 45 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
Serve by sprinkling on your pecans and drizzling on your maple syrup. This stuff is beyond scrumptious on its own, but recently, I tried a twist of my own.
I take my favorite banana nut bread (you can find the recipe by clicking here), and use that as my bread for the bread pudding! This is definitely a next-level step, but trust me, it’s SO good.
