If you’ve ever had moonshine before, you know how strong is can be. If the right flavors are added in, they’re also insanely delicious, and this flavor is by far my favorite.

Apple Pie Moonshine. That’s right, all of fall’s best flavors in an alcohol. You can make some and give it as gifts, or just save a ton for holiday parties. Regardless, it’s amazing, and you can make it yourself!

Here’s how.

You will need:

  • 1 gallon apple cider
  • 1 gallon apple juice
  • 8 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 bottles grain alcohol (1.75 liters each)
  • 1 bottle whipped cream vodka (.75 liters)
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 cups light brown sugar
  • 2 apples of your choice

Combine white sugar, light brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, apple cider, and apple juice in a 12 qt. stock pot. Stir it and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cover the mixture.

Simmer for 20-30 minutes, then remove from heat. Cool to room temperature. If you’d like, you can strain the mixture through a cheese cloth to remove any excess sediment, or you can just fish out the cinnamon.

Add all of your alcohols to the mixture you boiled. He does this in a cooler so there’s plenty of room for the mixture and nothing overflows. It’s also great for bottling the mixture.

You can add or remove some alcohol from the recipe depending on how strong you like it. He uses mason jars to bottle this mixture, but you can use whatever container you prefer.

For a little added decoration and flavor, slice up the apples and place them in the jar/bottle. Add a piece of the cinnamon stick as well, and you’re done!
