Hash Browns Quilt
I love hash browns. They’re a breakfast staple, and I eat them every chance I get. Because of that, I was excited to stitch up the hash browns quilt.
Now, I have no idea why it’s called this. The quilt doesn’t remind me of hash browns at all, but I’m happy to say I love this quilt just as much as the breakfast food!
Names aside, this is an incredible project for a ton of different skill levels. You’re going to adore making this regardless if you’re a novice or an expert!
This creative little number is a ton of fun to make. Believe it or not, it’s very easy, too! There are 3 types of blocks to create here, and they’re all a lot easier than they look.
How It’s Done
This stunner is made of three different blocks. All of them have a similar format. There’s a sort of diamond in the middle, and it’s surrounded by little triangles.
The first block is by far the easiest. It’s just a diamond in the middle with the little triangles surrounding it, making a square. Simple!
The second block is incredibly similar. You’ll use the exact same method, except the middle square will be a nine patch of two different fabrics.
The third block is similar to the first block as well! There’s a normal diamond in the middle, but the corner triangles and cut with smaller triangles at the tips. Donna shows how it’s done in her video below.
Then you put this all together and you’ve got your hash browns quilt. Watch Jordan Fabrics‘ video down below, then make your own. Have fun!
