I could eat banana bread all day every day. It’s beyond delicious, and I’d like to think it’s healthier than other desserts. Even if I’m wrong, I’ll just keep pretending so I can eat it as often as possible.
Christian-pop singer Amy Grant makes amazing banana bread, and once I tried her recipe, all other banana breads just didn’t do it for me anymore.
Not only is this super easy and quick to put together, but the touch of pecans adds a depth of flavor I’m obsessed with.
The ingredients you’ll need are:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 bananas (the more ripe, the better!)
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup pecans
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
Start by mixing the butter, sugar, eggs, and bananas. Mix until combined, then add dry ingredients, followed by pecans.
Pour into a greased bread pan and bake for an hour and a half.
Take the bread out of the oven and cool for 5 minutes before removing from the pan. This tastes delicious on its own, with some butter, or even some cinnamon honey butter like this one!
Regardless of how you enjoy this banana nut bread, it’s sure to become one of your favorite recipes in your repertoire.
Enjoy!
