There’s an interior design trend I’ve been seeing everywhere recently that I can’t get enough of. It’s called an accent wall.

An accent wall is basically a wall that has a different color, pattern, or texture than all of the other walls in a room. It’s the centerpiece of a room and it gives it a lot of character.

Accent walls are everywhere. I see them in every interior design magazine, and I want one in my house.

The only problem is I don’t own my house… I rent it. So my dream of a gorgeous accent wall can’t come true then, right?

Wrong. Not only can you have that accent wall, but you don’t even need to ask your landlord to do it. Just use this hack!

This comes from EngineerYourSpace on YouTube and it is unbelievably easy to do.

The hack? It’s called Ram Board. Basically, it’s a heavy-duty cardboard and you can use to make your accent wall!

Just paint your Ram Board as you would your wall. Wait for it to dry completely, then stick it on the wall.

Stick it on the wall by using some strong double-sided tape.

In between the cardboard for a shiny pop, use contact paper. This makes the wall look a whole lot more expensive.

It really is that simple. Move your furniture back in, add decorations, and the room pretty much looks like a hotel.

Watch the video below for more on how this is done, then give it a try yourself.
