Fall is in full swing. If you haven’t started thinking about Halloween yet, you really should. It’s the only time of year that’s perfect for putting up the creepiest things you can find!

Instead of spending a ton of money on decorations, you can still go all out without spending much. Just turn to the dollar store!

These 7 DIY ideas are all from the dollar store, and for just a few bucks, you can get your house as spooky as possible in no time.

Here’s how to do it.

Skull String Lights

All you need to do for this is grab some mini skulls and string lights. Usually the mini skulls come in a pack. Cut an “x” from either the top or bottom of the skull, depending on how you want to hang the lights.

Then, stick the string lights into the skulls, and it’s ready to hang!

Halloween Wreath

Instead of spending upwards of $50 on a wreath, buy a dollar store wreath form, some yarn and some felt. Wrap the yarn around the wreath form in whatever pattern you’d like.

Use some felt to create little flowers (or another decoration) for the bottom right of the wreath. Glue those on, and you’re ready to hang it up!

Trick-Or-Treat Pumpkins

Just paint some plastic pumpkins any color you’d like (she uses white,) and once it’s dry, use stick-on letters to spell out the word or phrase you like.

Hers says “Trick Or Treat” on 3 different pumpkins, but you can do as many or as few words and pumpkins as you’d like.

Skull Vases

Cut a hole at the top of a plastic skull. Take some black spray paint and spray the entire thing. Once it’s dry, just fill it with fake flowers, and you’re done!

Mummy Jars

Take some glass jars and cover them in white mesh fabric. Usually this fabric sticks to itself, so you may not even need to glue it down!

Then, glue on some googly eyes/felt eyes, and illuminate it however you’d like. That’s it, you’re done!

Boo Frames

You can make whatever word, phrase, or letters you’d like out of this. Cut out some felt in the size of your dollar store picture frame, and place that as the background piece.

Cut out a piece of felt in a different color in whatever letter you’d like, and glue that on top. Place it in your frame, and repeat until you get the word or phrase you want!

Demon Animals

For a little decor piece, spray paint dollar store plastic animals black. Once that dries, paint the eyes red. That’s it, you have little demon animals to decorate your house with!
