As strange as it sounds, butter slime is so fluffy and smooth, it can actually be spread like butter. Even better? It’s made with 5 ingredients or less, and there are a ton of methods.

Here’s 4 of them. To add color to any of these, you can use food coloring.

Method 1:

  • 3/4 cup + cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup shampoo
  • Baby oil or lotion

Mix the first two ingredients together first, adding more cornstarch if necessary. Then mix together until it forms a toothpaste-like consistency. Add your baby oil/lotion, mix it in, and you’re done!

Method 2:

  • 3/4 cup + cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup shampoo
  • White school glue (about 1/2 cup)
  • Baby oil or lotion
  • Liquid starch or Borax

Mix the first two ingredients together first, adding more cornstarch if necessary. Then mix together until it forms a toothpaste-like consistency.

Add your glue, then the baby oil/lotion, and the liquid starch/borax, mix it in, and you’re done!

Method 3:

  • White glue (about 1/2 cup)
  • Shaving cream (double that of the white glue)
  • Contact solution (1/3 cup)
  • Modelling clay

Combine the first two ingredients, then add contact solution. With your hands, work in the modeling clay until it forms one solid mass.

Method 4:

  • White glue (about 1/2 cup)
  • Liquid starch or borax (about 1/2 cup)
  • Modelling clay

Combine the first two ingredients, then work in the modeling clay until it forms one solid mass. That’s it, you’re done! ASMR dreams start here.
