Recently I stumbled upon some Pinterest art ideas and I knew I needed to make some of them for my room. I’m in the process of redecorating, and these ideas just screamed at me.
Luckily, HGTV Handmade’s YouTube channel had some tutorials I could follow. Here are 3 Pinterest ideas they shared that I ended up making, and you’re totally gonna love them.
Idea #1: “Let’s Make Stuff”
What You’ll Need:
- Canvas
- Paint
- Painter’s Tape
- Paint Brushes
- Card Stock
Start by cutting out a shape in some card stock. Tape down the card stock with the shape cutout down on the canvas, making the shape be in the middle of the canvas.
Paint word(s) in the center. Wait for it to dry, then place the shape of card stock in the center over the word(s). Using your paint brushes, start from the center and paint outwards until it fades.
Do this with multiple colors, peel off the shape, and you’re done!
Idea #2: “Good Vibes Only”
What You’ll Need:
- Canvas
- Paint
- Sponges
- Letter Decal Stickers
Start by painting the canvas whatever color you want the text to be. Once it dries, place on your letters to spell out the phrase of your choice.
Take your sponges and dab multiple colors of paint, blending as you go. Once this all completely dries, peel it off, and you’re done!
Idea #3: “Do Less With More Focus”
What You’ll Need:
- Canvas
- Paint
- Paint Brushes
- Painter’s Tape
Place painter’s tape diagonally across the canvas and paint one side one color. Wait for it to dry, then peel off the tape and place painter’s tape over the paint line. Paint the other side a different color.
Wait for it to dry, peel off the tape, then paint on your words and you’re done.
