Jordan Fabrics tutorials never steer me wrong. The patterns they recreate are adorable and they lay out the best ways to do them easily!

Today, I stumbled upon a harvest inspired quilt made with some strips and squares. There’s a huge contrast with the background and main fabrics, and it’s super colorful for a fall quilt. I love it!

This quilt is made with 2 1/2″ strips and 2 1/2″ squares for the most part, so precuts work great for making the finished product.

Each block is made from a short and a long rectangle with a square of background fabric sewed on the diagonal. Half of the square is cut off, revealing a version of a half square triangle.

If you were to divide the block into 4 square portions, all are quite different. Each are made from varying fabrics. Donna from Jordan Fabrics lays this out in more detail in her tutorial below.

Obviously the harvest quilt pattern can be used for any season, but I love what she’s done with this in honor of fall. Once I finish this one, however, I might work on a Christmas themed version!

What would you do with this quilt pattern to make it your own?
